We see the "not yet" and the "now" in 1 John "Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is." Romans says we are glorified, and Ephesians says we are seated with Christ in heaven. The Bible speaks as though. Peanut wants to swim NOW, Moe says NOT YET! A sweet and cheerful book about overcoming differences. Peanut and Moe are back! Peanut says let's swim Moe says time to hike Peanut says let's swim now Moe says time to eat a snack Peanut says now! Moe says time to put up the tent Peanut says NOW! Moe says NOT YET!

“The Now And The Not Yet” By: Kenneth Sauer. Pastor of Parkview United Methodist Church. As most of you know, I was raised in Syracuse, New York. Syracuse is the snowiest city in the country, and winter. takes up about 7 months out of the year. So, if one is going to live in a winter wonderland, they might as well take advantage of. "Now now" is a better expression, however if he is busy with something, "Not Yet" means "Wait until I am ready" – mplungjan Nov 10 '17 at | show 7 more comments 1 Answer 1.

In recent years, the phrase “Already/Not Yet” as a description of our understanding of the kingdom of God in its present and future state has become very familiar.

I took it for granted that this understanding had long been the dominant one in evangelicalism. It was not until recently that I discovered the gridlock that existed between Dispensationalist and Covenant theologians in the Until Now (the Not Yet series Book 2) - Kindle edition by Ward, Laura.

In God’s chronology, this year’s not yet is already now. It is already accomplished. It is already accomplished. I need only stay the course, put one foot in front of the other in the bare faith that believes that it receives, and what now seems so distant and impossible will. Again, we have a “now” (we are the children of God), and we have a “not yet” (our future state).

We are children of the King, but we must wait to see exactly what that entails. Add to this the facts that Romans says we are “glorified” and Ephesians says we are seated with Christ “in the heavenly realms” as if these were.

As Rob said, it is now, but not yet. Yet to come is the final consummation of all things, a complete and total healing for the soul and the body and the world that ushers in a new and never-ending era of unhindered intimacy with the Creator. “ Now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face,” says 1 Corinthians Author: Ken Ham.

I think the missing context to 'yet to' is "The book is yet to be read". I'm not a native English speaker but I've seen it somewhere. I believe it means something is not finished as the other two, but in this specific case, the 'to' comes after 'yet' because of the verb that follows.
